I am going to toy w/ some ABS & maybe make a mount for the Commander that UPS is bringing me today (thanks to Cowboy Diesel Performance!) Any suggestions as to where I can get it really cheap so I can practice w/ it a little? The shipping seems to be costing more than the ABS itself - Belton, MO zip 64012. Thanks!

 

Try searching for stereo supply places. There were a few places that I found while searching for materials for building speaker boxes that carried ABS and different types of materials. If you've got a sign shop in the area check with them too. You may get some scraps for free. I used to work at a sign shop and we'd use acrylic and different types of plastic from time to time. That should get you started with what you need. Then go to Home Depot and get fiberglass to play around with to build a mount. Search for fiberglass speaker boxes on the internet and you have tons of reading.
