XDSC in 40S&W here. I run a cheap uncle mikes IWB holster. If I wear my shirt untucked, Im fine in the 3oclock position. In the 1 oclock position (in front of the hip bone) I can wear a tucked in shirt, but the pistol wants to crawl up because of my gut if I sit long.
The crossbreed is a good and popular choice. My boss loves Galco.

I just picked up a Spring Field XDM 3.8 9mm
It really isn't much smaller than my Glock 22 .40cal
With my Glock I have a Black Hawk paddle holster, that thing is plain as day a gun on my hip. So I opted to get a "smaller" gun for my carry, now I just need to find something that will allow me to actually conceal it.

For the 5" 1911, an IWB holster, t-shirt, and untucked Hawaiian flowered-y shirt. The wilder, the better on the shirt.
Or for pocket carry, either the better half's PPK or my PM40. I have some cargo shorts with nice, deep frront pockets, and then keys and what-not can go in the cargo pockets.

I carry a G26 and G32 in a Mr. Softy appendix carry with an untucked shirt. Doesn't print or show at all. I could only carry that way once I lost my belly though. lol I have had all of the super breed, cross breed, super tuck no luck, Comptac Spartan, etc. and they do conceal well but for me are not as comfortable with something sticking in your back all day.
