Ya I know the country needs manufacturing, ime just sick of being in it. I would rather be in an agriculture type job such as working for a co-op or such. This job started as a part time gig in 96 while I was in the local vo-teck school for auto repair. I met my now wife and she was one year younger so I decided to go full time for one year till she graduated. After that we were gona move back to my home area but that never hapened. I just never wanted to work for a company this big and still dont. All we are is a number to the higher ups. The company is still privatly/family owned but they never come out of there office anymore like they used to. Now they hired some people to run the shop and sit back and let them have at it however they see fit. I honestly dont mind being a machinist I just dont like the roler coaster ride that goes along with manufacturing.

Life is too short. Start looking for another job. The next step is for them to lay off or make it so miserable they quit, the higher payed personal. My wife just went through a similar thing. 29+ years experience, highest paid, etc. Was called in the office, talked to like a dog, etc. etc. They finally saw that she would not quit so they came up with a fabricated story of her not doing her job and fired her. Went to draw unemployment, they protested..... Had 3 different steps of hearings and we won every step with the DOL. So she was able to draw unemployment. You name it, they tried it. It was all I could do to keep control of myself and not do something stupid. Needless the say, The EEOC is on the case.
