Water Cooler Nov 9 - 15

Morning all. Got to wake up at 0330 this morning to the sounds of fire trucks. Woke me up quick cuz there is nothing but my place and just a couple others. Turned out it was a abandoned dump truck on fire in the middle of the county road. Plates come back to a company about 25 miles away. Sounds to me like someone is not going to have a good day when they get the call "do you know where your truck is?"

Time for more coffee.

Morning all. Can't sleep due to a massive party in my area. The drums and so called music is making my house shake. Some neighbors have no consideration for others. Even at 5:40 A.M.!!! Wish their amps would blow up with a huge power surge.
Sorry, just needed to whine a little. Will go back to my coffee now and shut up.

Re:Water Cooler Nov 9 - 15

Morning,
Sleeping in late this AM, nothing exciting going on here
Dogs are in the daughters room sleeping, neighbors haven't been any problem after I called their landlord, & the only thing burning is from Wifey's nephew trying to make breakfast.
About 20* outside according to the thermometer on the deck.
Might have to crawl back under the covers and take a snooze.

Have a great Sunday.

Morning DTR Land,,had a great day yesterday sowing 10,000 sq ft of rye grass and starter fertilizer. All you Northern folks may think this odd but the ground temps down here are between 55-65*, perfect temps for starting a new lawn. Heading out today to the mulch pit in town to pick up 15cu yds of cedar mulch to dump around the house, I'm praying for some light rain to help set the grass seed. Might even take some of the boulders they took from the slab and start the landscaping process, also need to install my minefield markers for when TOP comes over. ;D

I think the lords plan today is to wear me out, sure will be fun though.

Good evening all, just finished mulching leaves from about 70 tress, they sure are beautiful when the colors change, but a pain when they fall. Got the truck cleaned up and snapped some photos, but the wife has the digicam. Will get them posted this week. Noticed a little rust on the inner door on the lower portion, have to get after that quick. Have a good week.

It's [shadow=Black][/color],left]MONDAY[/shadow] again.

Quiet day here, as most folks took an extra day off to make a looong weekend.

Morning temps in the 20s.
Winter Fronts installed yesterday.
"Plugged up" last night for the 1st time this season.

Is it Spring yet?

Good Morning all!
Another cold morning. Truck sounded like it had a bunch of gremlins with sledge hammers under the hood this morning when she fired up. Dang cold weather.

Gotta work today and then off tomorrow, maybe the rest of the week. Need a vacation!! ;D

Take an extra day off to relax my hiney ;D I've got to go back to work to rest. Just thought I was going to get all the wood cut and split when out of the blue, the wife wants to fence in about 3 1/2 acres for the goats. We could start today, honey.
Ain't been in much due to the lack of time. Things are slowing done, due to running out of troops to ship, so taking a bit of time off to get done what I haven't been able to do in over a month. Quiet day today. Change oil in truck, replace carb on splitter, split and stack more wood, take trailer to father in law, pick up smoker from the shop, have a few adult beverages somewhere in there, pick up grand kids at school, have a few more cold ones, do the same tomorrow.
Gonna run and get started. If the rain sets in, I'll come back in.

Re:Water Cooler Nov 9 - 15

Morning, everybody! Home sick today. Took Friday off to go down to Grand Valley State University (Allendale, MI) to take my daughter to a doctor. She called on Thursday evening and said she had been having episodes irregular heartbeats. Not a good thing. Turns out she was mildly anemic and that, in combination with one of her allergy meds was causing the problem. Whew! Stayed the weekend in GR for an aunt's funeral. Didn't go because I came down with the flu (upper respiratory kind) on Saturday morning and I'm still feeling semi-rotten. Wife and kids went to funeral to represent the family. I'm starting to feel some better this morning, back to the salt mines tomorrow.

Have a great day, everybody!

Re:Water Cooler Nov 9 - 15

Morning boys, been pretty busy lately. Gotta say to heck with some stuff and get in a few minutes of DTR time. Almost hit the nicest buck I've seen in Lake county this morning. I was in the Camry though. I wouldn't mind totalling it out to get out of payments, but they would start asking about my speed on that particular road. Deer opener is Friday and guess who has to work.

Top, thanks for the kind words. Daughter is doing fine. Aunt was 84 and healthy to the end. Funeral was more of a 'homegoing' than a sad thing.

DeWain

P.S. Don, better not shoot that buck until Saturday!

Speaking of the U.P., Don, have you seen "Escanaba in da Moonlight?" If not you have to see it. It's about a yooper that hasn't gotten his first buck, and he's middle-aged. You have to understand the culture in the "Superior State" to understand most of the humor.
