Water Cooler March 23 - 29
Re:Water Cooler March 23 - 29
I can commiserate with Huey - washed my truck Friday afternoon and ran out of daylight. But she looks much better - at least until I went on a furniture run halfway across the state. Now the front looks like I ran through the Deep Woods OFF tent full of biting mosquitoes. :'(

How the guys down in the Gulf states keep 'em clean is what I want to know. Bug shield or not, it's still a mess.

Too pretty to be where I am today - may be a short day 8)

Good-morning Fellow DTR enthusiasts! have a really great day out there!

Runs up behind shortrounds new Major and gets on hands and kness behind him.

Ok SR let him have it!
Just remember to holler "look out for that truck!"

Ahhhhhh How I miss the days of breaking in new Officers

Actually I have known quite a few that were really sharp cookies, Not all of them come out of the DOH! factory. But you do tend to remember the ones that made your job a whole lot harder than it had to be.

That would be a forum all in itself. Officers we've known, led by butterbars and follow-on's with those looking for their next rank :'( :'(.

~OhIcouldtellyousometalesDave

Once we got started down that road, it could be daylight before we came up for air

Mornin fellow fuelers, ya'll missed a good meeting Saturday here in sunny Virginia. Oh well, maybe next time eh?

Hey Huey:

I'm working on a pump that's in a building between this building that I'm currently sitting in and the "OTHER" building today. This one is also being replaced at the lowly cost of around $750k. It is a pretty cool pump, nine stage horizontal split case that develops about 3200 psi discharge (about 5800 feet) and has a speed increaser that takes the 1800 rpm motor speed up to just over 6000 rpm to get that pressure and the whole thing will fit in your truck. It's got an independent shoe Kingsbury thrust bearing to limit horizontal shaft travel and it is hydraulicaly balanced to minimize load on the thrust bearing. Sounds like a super JohnP turbo spooling up when they light it off. I'll keep you posted on how the replacement goes Huey since I know you are now on the edge of your seat chewing on your fingernails with worry and concern oozing forth.

politely waiting on the next one....

Won't be in the other building till the first week of April. Till then I will be stationed in this building. The second week of April, I will be housed in the intermediate "OTHER" other building. Then the third week in April, I will be in the other building thats between the "OTHER" building, the alternate building, this building, and the main building. That building is called containment or as we like to call it, the BRT (big round thing). Then I have some work in the upper level of the intermediate building which is beside the main building and just slightly west of the building I am in now. I am trying to keep my guys out of the intermediate auxulliary alternate building but may have to go there anyway after all is said and done. And then, there's the sub-level pits on either side of the BRT's, that I try to avoid but you know how that goes. Then I may have a job in the blackout building but not sue about that one yet and we haven't even mentioned the training building yet have we....

Got this straight???? ;D :

Look out!!!!!!! Sheep attacks.

Sheep beaten, stabbed with pitchfork in high school classroom; one dies

Sunday , March 23, 2003 sectionssections

(03-23) 03:26 PST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) --
Two sheep were brutally beaten and stabbed with a pitchfork in a high school's agriculture classroom, authorities said. One sheep died, the other was severely hurt.
Two men were arrested, but the motive for the attack remained unknown, said Sgt. Lou Fatur of the Sacramento County sheriff's office.
"We don't know why they did it," Fatur said. "It just defies all logic to go in there and beat an animal that's just standing there."
The men were arrested as they left Casa Robles High School early Saturday. A neighbor saw the men enter the school late at night and called deputies.
Authorities found the badly beaten animals in the agriculture classroom, which had also been burglarized.
Daniel Lee Krause, 22, and Chad Lee Console, 23, were jailed on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools, and were expected to be charged with animal cruelty, Fatur said.
Both men had hammers that authorities believe were used to beat the sheep, Fatur said.

No mention of what color they were.

shortroundthrowingoutabitofhumor out
