Wanna See Somethin' Neat???

My wife and I got hit from behind while at a stop sign. We are in one piece, but banged up. The little car saved our lives, totally amazed at how it did as designed, not a straight panel on it now. Totalled out, got about $600 more for it than we paid, that was a nice change.
The guy that hit us was driving his company van, on sunday, at 11am, intoxicated. Below the legal limit, here it's .08, he blew a .04, wanted to hurt him bad. But I kept my cool, so my lawyer is going to hurt him for me.
It was kinda funny though, the wife was cussing him out for bending her cute little car all up!!

Thank goodness ya'll are ok!!!

Pics like that always make me glad to be driving an 8000lb truck with heavy steel bumpers!! If I ever get hit from behind, they are going to eat a nice big weight distribution hitch too, before they even get to my bumper and Putnam XDR receiver.

you said that he blew a .04. well if he was in a company truck that could mean that he has a CDL, and i know in texas and most other states when you have a CDL your limit is cut in half. so if thats the case then the .04 would mean he is drunk by law. i know the cops should have known and taken care of that but you know how they are just a idea. may make for more money so look into it.

glad to see your both ok, now you got a reason to buy her a truck instead of a car, they are alot safer, like a 2007 3500 dodge with a cummins.

The ouch

Thanks for the best wishes, we are in one piece, just pretty bent up.

The car WAS a Chevy Aveo, little 35mpg, 4dr sedan. We almost took the truck that day, kinda glad in a way we didn't, woulda been tuff explainin' to the first responders why a grown man would be crying on the side of the road next to a bent truck!

I taco'd the wheel by holding onto it when he hit us. I saw him coming in the rearview, heard his tires sliding, saw him fishtailin', told the little woman to hold on, and braced for impact. All while trying to get the little squirrels under the hood to get it movin'. Didn't work, he hit us, going about 45mph at time of impact, with his brakes locked!
