Volvo xc90-xc60 questions...

For you all that have the xc90 or the new xc60 volvo vehicles how do you like them? Also if you know anyone who has them how do they like them? We are looking into purchasing one of these vehicles for my wife to drive for the next 7-8 yrs and want something to hold up, and be reliable. Thanks

My wife has a XC-90. Very comfortable, and very reliable. More creature comforts than I need, but its great for her. They are also some of the safest vehicles on the road. I have 3 kids, so that is very important to me.

We have a 98 V70 that replaced a 94 850 Turbo wagon after I get broadsided. I missed a stop sign while looking for a street sign. The 850 got thrown over 10 feet and I mean thrown. No skidmarks on the road. The car was hit by a 89 F350 IDI dually. The only injuries my niece and I had was seatbelt bite. We walked away from the car. Here is a pic. Keith

How long have you had it? I heard they had a few maintenance issues. I have looked at them also and they are a sweet ride. I need something that can tow a boat while hauling 7 people.

We have had it about a year now. No maintenance problems thus far. It has the 2.5L 5cyl turbo. The V-8 AWD, had transmission problems, but thats the only ones that I have heard of that do. If you are look for something to haul 7 people and a boat, I would look for something a little bigger(IE. Durango or Expedition).

Yeah, I didn't think they would tow much and that 3rd row was pretty tight. Love our Expedition and it has been extremeley reliable, so we will probably just get another one. Those XC-90's really rode nice though.
