Very little respect.. (rant)

It was about 5PM this afternoon and I'm sitting at a red light, in the Ram. Had my radio tuned into a local country channel, it was set fairly low at the time. Anyways, Im sittin there day dreaming about something dumb.. All of a sudden I couldnt hear my engine running at all, nor could I hear my radio. There were 2 kids behind me in a little white car that must of had some huge subs and amps, because I could feel every hit of their subs in my seat and I watched my side mirrors rattle too. Like I said I couldnt even hear my Cummins at an idle with both windows down!!! Everybody was lookin at them as they kept turnin it up louder and louder, they must of seen me shake my head because both of them started laughing. I thought to myself all I would have to do it put this thing in reverse and smash the skinny pedal, then we'll see whos laughing!! Nothing ever became of it, the light turned green and I drove off.

I dont have any problems with a GOOD sounding system, its just that there is a line of sanity that comes along with the noise/base levels on them, I think anyways. Next time one of them cars is sittin outside my house with that crap playin Im not going to hesitate to call the police and let them deal with that. Im gettin older now and Im getting too lazy to go put a baseball bat through their windshield like i used to.. Hopefully Im not the only one that feels this way!!????

You know, I'm only 20 and I personally don't see any reason for anything bigger than a set of 10's run 500w.... It's enough to rattle your teeth if you want it to and honestly, no one gives a rat's behind about a LOUD system other than people I honestly wouldn't associate with. I guess I'd much rather roll my windows down and listen to the music of my good ol' cummins

Not to mention it is harsh on the vehicle that systems of that nature are in. The alternator and batteries take a hit while the sheet metal, fasteners and sub frame of the car get rattled loose... No point in it really. I saw a rusty POS Cadillac in town the other day where chunks of rust fell off every time the bass hit hard enough

Listen to a single JL 8" W8 and you'll wonder why they even make subs bigger than 8"

I know what you mean! In some areas in Ind. we have a noise tolerence, you wouldn't believe how many kids get pulled over because their systems are up TOO Loud, and they get cited too.

I saw a jeep once that probably had the loudest system I have ever heard, but the sad part was that the rear windows shaking around were making more noise than the subs were... it seems so pointless to listen to music like that when all you can feel is your vehicle vibrating itself into pieces.

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In 2004, the muffler on the Dodge 3500 equipped with the CTD engine option was required by Federal Law to reduce noise pollution. Since I'm still under warranty, I'm not feeling to behold'n right now!!! Turn that stupid radio down!

Rev Her Up

that actually happened to me last friday evening goin to some friends house. some guys pulled up next to me. i had both my windows down, and soon enough i could barely hear my cummins. i just shifted to neutral and started revin it slowly till i was at about 26-2800. they turned up a little louder, (this light is pretty long) so i started stabbin the throttle, they looked over, and rolled their windows up, and turned it down a little bit. i took off at the light, and powder coated their car a little

Anyone know how to make a homemade E.M.P.? It would have to be very directional and concentrated of course. I've always wanted to give a "zap" to the inconsiderate system blaring next to me, or beside me or in front of me. I would just love to see the looks on the kids' faces when the entire car just quits. I would get in trouble with one though. Cut me off?! "ZOT" Tailgating me "ZAP" shoot me the bird "ZAP, ZAP, ZOT, ZOT ZAP".

Im young myself but i cant stand the pounding systems either. I have a small one in my truck just to be loud enough when driving with the windows down to over power the stacks, and the base is turned down to barely even notcice it. I was at a light and the kid next to me had his system hittin so hard my friends glasses were sliding down his face(i am not kidding either). You could see everyone looking at him and people were saing stuff but you couldnt hear it and he was just laughing. So i got out of my truck walked over reached in shut his car off, hes freaking out and yelling at me, i just said im trying to talk to my friend (unapropriate words), o and some other people were tryin to tell you something. About 5 or 6 people were yelling at me you rock, that was kool and all kinda stuff and then they said bad stuff to him. He started his car back up left he tunes cranked and showed me i was #1.

Unfortunately, in Alabama you would have just committed a felony by reaching into the other guy's vehicle. Do be careful!
