Ultra Wheels

Are there any guys out there that run the Ultra Wheel brand on their trucks???

Curious if they had any problems with this brand...

Looking at a purchase of a set of their rims... ...Sure don't care for the centre caps...They are new for 2013...

Think they would look ok on my reg cab dually..?

So far haven't found any internet pictures with these rims installed on a truck..They kind of look like stock Chev rims...

Very nice looking wheels. Never really heard of the brand or whether they are good, but I think they'd look awesome on your truck.

Nice wheels! One problem with the nicer wheels I have noticed is the de-icer they use in WA and MT can really start to mess them up when it gets into scratches or dings from road wear or balancing weights.

I loaned my dad my 07 stockers and asked him to switch them out with his winter steelies before they started spraying de icer over there to avoid corrosion.

Most those wheels are designed for Southern Cal and the southern states, I think!

Your right SIXSLUG....What to destroy a set of chrome rims...Drive them in road salt...Even a month in road salt without a wash, they are toasted..

I have a set of steel rims that I will be using in winter...These will be for summer only....Big overhead having 12 rims and tires for one vehicle...

Not as much selection for aftermarket dually rims as there is for standard non DWR trucks...

I think they look great Dave! I've ultras before, they are good quality, comparable to American racing Wheels. They may have a warranty on the finish too. I have mbs on my truck now, they have a 2 year warranty on the finish. I used to travel from co to nd, and always kept a good heavy coat of polish & wax on my wheels and never had a problem. But our roads get mag chloride instead of salt. Mags pretty hard on finish too though.
I think those wheels would look really good on your truck. You may be able make your dodge caps work with them too...

Thanks Kerry for the input....

I think they use mag chloride here.... that stuff is just as bad as salt..

Warranty on the finish here is not covered at all, if chrome rims are run in winter...My concern mainly, is the cracking issue (casting cracks) with aftermarket rims...That's a long story we will discuss later...

Dave---i have the "Ultra Goliath BLACK" sitting in my parts room,(spare bedroom)quality looks good.I cannot comment on the durability as i have never mounted a set before or ran though a winter.I am waiting to chew these BFG's KM2 M/T 255/80/R17 off before i put the rims on with another new set of tires----probable run the KM2 again as i will easily get 90KM out of them.PS---cheaper to run to the boarder if you decide to buy cause i saved over $600 on my set ---no one in Canada would touch the USA price shipped.DW

Finally....After months being on back order...They are finally in transit...New rims for 2013, took till almost Aug to fill orders...

Not much selection for 16x6 rims for a dually...But these are the nicest ones I could find....

The only thing I wish they had...Was the Ultra Wheel logo in chrome instead of red...But oh well...Life's a bi****....

Been running my winter rims/tires most of the summer...

Which model???

Make sure you have a set of winter rims and tires. ..for the salt we use here...Sure doesn't take long for the salt to pit them..

Darn...it stinks having 6 tires...

If you're just putzing around, it's useless, but if you ever blow a driver when towing a double at speed, and you don't have a "spare" beside it, you'll gain some real appreciation for dual tires if you live through it.
