Tragedy Has Struck My Family Yet Again

As some of you know, I am in Florida right now. Mid-day Sunday, my grandmother calls my father and tells him there's been an accident. My cousin Jesse crashed his crotch rocket on Friday near his home in Trappe, MD about 30 minutes or so away from my house. He was flown to Shock Trauma and spent Saturday in the O.R., he went in at 8 AM and came out around 4:30 PM. My grandmother told us that he broke part of his neck, a shoulder, an arm/both arms (not sure), some ribs, and a leg/both legs (not sure either). I haven't talked to his wife yet or my uncle/his father. I hope all goes well, but his wife is a physical therapist so he is in good hands. From what I have heard, he had to lay his bike down and he was thrown into a ditch. Please put him in your prayers and thoughts.

bike wrecks are not fun.....i can tell you that from experience. my heart goes out to your family, because i know how much strain it places on them. I was lucky enough to come out of my wreck with minor injuries compared to what you described above. mine was also a crotch rocket that i layed down @ 60 mph with no helmet. was taken by ambulance and stayed in the hospital for a few days. I hope all comes out well with your cousin. I can only imagine the type of pain he is experiencing. My prayers are with him and your family

i was riding a rental bike at about 80 km/hr the front wheel came loose and launched me over the handle bars. well i think thats what happened anyways i don't remember the accident. broken wrist in two spots two pins in. dislocated wrist, fractured colar bone, major cuncusion and road rash on my face. doctor said i was almost paralized. thankfully i walked away.
