Why not a Bobcat or Cat mini excavator?
My Komatsu (PC 50uu) is getting a little tired so I was thinking Bobcat because of the many impliment choices.
BCB-
If not Bobcat or Cat mini - then what would you recommend and why?

I've heard great things about the Kubota kx-91 and 121's. My friend has a 91 and he has that thing working everyday all day and no complaints. I ran a Bobcat 325 and liked it alot for a 5klbs machine, but the Kubota seems to be a great machine from people I talk to. Skids steer's i'd go bobcat or cat, they have great lineups and huge dealers here.

This is just my opinon....... Bobcat and Cat both have a huge dealer network and parts, especially aftermarket, are normally easy to come by but I'm not convinced the name is worth the premium they charge. I've always ran a Fiat track loader and have no complaints about the machine, just the local dealer. I have a Daewoo excavator and the same applies. I know allot of folks that run Cat and feel like they're the only way to go. Maybe I'm the exception to the rule, who knows.

Right now we have a Bobcat 435 (about 8500 #'s) we got one right after they came out and we had too work out quite a few computer bugs and what not but now that they have got those fixed its the best trackhoe we have had yet... But the local bobcat dealersship is going down hill as far as employes so i believe our next machine maybe Cats 297C set up to run one of thier Mulchers... it should be around 90-95Kbut at the quality that i have seen in these machines it will be worth it. cats tend to be ALOT easier to work on then our bobcats but as far as work they are about the same... but dealer soupport, around here at least cat as WAY ahead of anyone period.
