Tire size question

Mornin, DTR...

If a tire size is 34 10X50 17, the 10X50 means the rim width, right?

34 tall, 17 inch rim...

Thanks...

mad

34 inches high , tire is 10.5 inches wide, on a 17 inch diameter wheel.

Would usually look like this 34x10.50/17 , not sure why there is an X inbetween the 10 and 50.

They would probably be good for racing...

What kind of tires are they?

That is kinda an odd size...

I run 315/70/17's in the summer, and just put 285/75/17's on for the winter...

What an BIG difference in the way the truck drives

Those are not TSL's...They don't make'em in that size...

They are bias ply LTB's...Not a good choice for an 8000 lb. truck...

You're Welcome, Mark

I looked at those tires before for my truck, because they are fairly inexpensive...

But the bias ply tires will get flat spots on them when you are parked from the weight of the mighty Cummins!

They are designed for light Jeeps and such.
