Ticket vending machine kept my debit card.
In Switzerland, trying to get train tickets out of a ticket machine, probly operator error, but it kept my card.
Took down phone number to call. Next day called and was told to go to the ticket counter, they had already removed my card. Showed ID and signed that I got it back, and was on my way. NO big hastles, like here in the states.
