Heading out to Seattle for February break. Any recommendations on things to do/see?

Thanks.

Boeing Air/Space Museum is awesome if you like that kind of stuff. Space Needle is pretty cool and don't miss the Pike Place Market. Its a must see. Ft. Lewis Museum. Ride one of the ferries to Bremerton and take a look at the Naval Museum, go onboard static display ship. Ballard Locks are fun to visit. You can see the salmon coming into Lake Washington. Ride the monorail, spend time at Seattle Center and the museums there, visit the aquarium and waterfront. Great restaurants on the waterfront. There is a ton more fun stuff to do. I hope you have a good time and an umbrella!!!

Whidbey Island is a neat tour - - ferry over and drive to the top, enjoy some of the sites along the way, especially Deception pass - - sometimes you will catch the whales coming thru pending the tide flow. We enjoyed the "underground" tour and the history of it - - quite fascinating. Sure second the Boeing plant tour in Everett - - you can spend hours in there.

The limits of my Seattle excursions was to Boeing surplus which is now closed, the AK marine ferry system, and the freight docks.

I spent my childhood summers in Tacoma, Puyallup, Kingston.

I second the "Underground Tour".

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park.

Tillicum Village, Blake Island.

If you like Oysters, take the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry then South/West to Seabeck on the Hood Canal or take the Seattle-Bremerton Ferry and head NW to Seabeck.

^^^This. If you head over to Bremerton also check out the Women of the War museum up from the ferry terminal. Its an outdoor park you can walk thru for free...

The fellas covered the stuff there we did and would recommend. We lived on Whidbey for a few years and absolutely enjoyed the outdoor rec, trails, beaches. Don't know how much time you have, but if you really want to get away, from Anacortes take the ferry out to the San Juan Islands and go stand on the edge of the conus. It ain't no day trip unless you're already on Whidbey, but it's really cool.

Oh, if you're a Bruce Lee fan, go find his and his son's grave sites there. We never got to the do that but would be neat to pay respects next time we can. I grew up watching Bruce Lee.

They are working on replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct (irritating a lot of Seattle residents) so if you head into the downtown area
(Pikes place market etc) be prepared to drive like a deranged monkey in order to keep from getting run over.
Lately we have been renting a small car when in Seattle because the truck is hard to park.

Thanks for all the great info folks. We will be out there for a week so we will condense the compiled list to get as much in as possible. One Of my wife's co workers works for Boeing and said he was going to get us passes and a tour while we are out there. I'm really looking forward to that! We will also be going to the water front and the market and the tower.

As far as the 49ers jersey Top, I was thinking the front of a 49ners jersey sewn to the back of a Seahawks jersey that everyone has to take a double take.

Seahawks fans will smile back, we remember the Dec. 23rd game, 42-13

Fisherman's Terminal is a good sight see walk around, a couple good restaurants there.
