Surveillance questions.

A serious situation has just come up with a family member and am requesting some guidance for what to do. In short, this guy is a lawyer, specializing in corporate law and is presently dealing with a very large case involving millions of dollars. There are the good guys and then there are the gangster type opposition who stand to lose these millions if he wins the case as it appears to be the case. These gangsters as of last night are now making it personal against him and his family. These guys play rough and for keeps. He has just moved into a nice new house in a very good neighborhood.

What is the best way to record anything that happens inside and outside his house? I am thinking two separate video systems. A relatively cheap one (wired) that while hidden can be stolen and the perps run thinking that they have taken the evidence. Then a second more elaborate system, perhaps wireless, with the recording system well hidden and well secured.

The above is very brief, but hope someone here has some good input. Typical of houses here, everything is concrete and brick with no hollow walls to hide wires. These walls also badly attenuate wireless signals.

I like these.... iCamPRO FHD

They are wifi dont know how that would work for you though.

My suggestion from what you are saying is 4 ARMED men 2 on and 2 off rotating every 4 hours....sucks to have video of a violent crime scene after the fact.

I definitely wouldn't want anything wireless...too easy to jam and disable. CCTV only.

Beyond that, you'd about have to call in some professionals if it's that deep.

Thanks folks for the responses. The situation has escalated, but do not know all the details just yet.

Sounds to me like heavily armed help is needed.

Wireless and hidden can't be used in the same thought. I can pick out a wireless device, locate it, and disable it from quite a distance away. Probably can't use it if encription is good. Poorer encryption might cause a few minutes delay in acquiring it.

Doesn't sound like you have time enough to install a suitable system. Manual labor may be the only answer.

What Top said and then a dozen or so game cams affixed around the perimeter with complimenting angles, ie pointing at each other's back etc.

The more there are, the likelihood they won't all be located is a plus.....

Add these to the other sug't and you may be covered.

Second thought, go "Home Alone" on them. Look up advice for Alaskan Bear Proofing a desolate cabin and make sure you point the cameras at the booby traps for a good laugh after everyone is safe......
