maybe this is a stupid question. But what is the opinion on stacks on a gasser?
With flame throwers of course

Is it really THAT hated of an idea? It's not like I'm puttin them on an s-10 or mustang Its a high 79 Ford. *and someday I have hopes of a 4 cylinder cummins* but i dunno if that will ever happen.

I for one, like stacks on a well tuned gasser. The Lil Red Dodge's were neat. I sure like them better than drag pipes down the side ... can't go 4 wheelin with them things on.

I remember back in the '70s when stacks on pickups were fairly close together and blended in with the roll bar. They were about the width of the rear sliding window on our new trucks. Back then the stacks were to keep the tailpipes out of deep water. It made a lot more sense than trying to make an OTR tractor out of a pickup truck.

For those of you who got the most recent edition of the JC Whitney catalog, look at that red truck on the front cover... it is a 1500 with stacks......

Does not matter to me if someone puts stacks on a gasser. Some look good some don't.

well if they're cut level with the cab and are symmetrical then i wouldnt mind to hear what a hemi or a 454 or a 460 would sound like ...but it is reserved for diesels IMHO
