How many of this sort of incident do we not hear about? I would guess a lot.

one number in a stock number changed or transposed and you get something very different.

There should be checks in place to keep something like this from happening.

Happens more than you think.
I ordered a 16" reference mirror out of DRMO one time. Several weeks later, a semi pulls up with a huge crate that filled the trailer. The requisition number checked out and inside the crate was a set of propellers, propeller hub assembly, and reduction gears for a C-130H. $8.00 per hour people pulling $800,000 parts.
Made an interesting ceiling fan tho.

Taiwan has ordered a load of advanced weapons from the US due to be delivered in late 2009ish..

This could have been a shipment of weapons bieng shipped on the down low that was brought to the wrong peoples attention and now it is played out as an accident.

Don't forget China is just a stones throw away breating down their neck.. they need all the help they can get.

Um, well, we sell weapons to the saudi's and pakistan. Saddam got his chems in the 80's from U.S companys, this is a terrible practice on our part, but has been going on for a long time. called war proffiteering.

Yup, right or wrong. Its been going on forever. The French sell (and give) missiles, aircraft and arms to our enemys same with China, Russia ect. We do the same. When I finally become King of the world Im going to make some changes.
