Some people
So yesterday my buddy and I stop at a bank. He withdraws some money while I waited in the truck. He was gone maybe 2 minutes. Some environment gur came up to me and started giving me Edit for idling my truck and polluting the air. Rather than arguing with a fanatic I opened the owner's manual to the cooldown page and let him read it. He said this was stupid and walked away.
I just thaught I would share this story with everyone. I guess some folks have way too much time on their hands.

Ahh, at the moment I'm in a brand new apartment complex (not for long, think my picky **** finally found a house) and the neighbors have complained numerous times to the property manager about my "excessive idling". I e-mailed her some FAQ's off the Diesel Turbo Lifesaver website and she understood. She suprisingly said that the neighbors will just have to deal with it.
In light of this I was speaking with my cousin the other day and he mentioned to me that the development that they are about to build a $500,000.00 house in has an association and in their bylaws they have outlawed diesel vehicles. I got to looking and found that it is pretty common in any type of "lifestyle" community, condominiums, townhouses, clusters, etc. What a load of Edit! Funny that all of these buildings were brought in by trucks, most likely diesel, yet they find the nerve to request they not be around. I asked my cousin to find out which one of the owners pushed for that bylaw so that every time I visit I can leave him a nice cloud

Some years ago I used to work for a concrete place near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A new acreage subdivision (out of town) was created and all the lots sold before any houses went up. The stupid homeowner morons lobbied the county that all roads within the subdivision have a 50% road ban
. After that they found out that because of this road ban, the can't get cement trucks in to pour the foundations, they cant get the lumber in or the electricity company. They finally lifted the ban.

Hmmmmm 4 Edits in as many posts, I think it is time for a refresher on the rules everyone agrees to when they register for DTR.

I always get strange looks, people mouthing things, when I let mine sit and idle. But I don't care. People don't realize that it takes more fuel/gas to start any vehicle, versus letting it idle for short amount of time.
I love this part of the country....
You go to a qucky mart and EVERY vehicle in the parking lot will be ideling. Gas, Diesel, refueling, occupied or unoccupied, it doesn't matter, the engine is running.
