So uh...

I'm thinking of trading in my truck. It is just way to expensive. Since I got a new job, I'm struggling to make payments on it. Being a college kid sucks. We just got a 99 in at work. Ext cab, short bed, 4wd. 109k. Clean. They are in it for 10.8k. I could have it after TTL out the door for 13.5. It is really clean. I know nothing about 24v 2nd Gens...thoughts?

Trade down so you keep payments down, or no payments. The less debt you carry the better. Working and school can be done. Time flys. My 4 kids all worked and paid for their own college.
Good luck.

Wink Good Advice for what ya want JBark...

other option is to locate a buyer to take over payments...not advised but
through a dealership, it is more secure. you lose no matter what.

better money in the bank with the 99. same as driving a truck- learn as you go. save ten percent of your monthly income, you'll NEVER miss it. (like a fool) I PAID for my son's college that way..... first thought of wealth- pay yourself FIRST!!!
your ego will forgive you, see above advice- ALL OF IT!! I am close enough to Davey's age to tell you from experience, young at heart enough to still want big toys...

I see around 40 folks under 25 that are in debt higher than any bills I ever had COMBINED.... credit is slow death and will haunt you like concrete shoes.

vehicles are the WORST investment you can ever make. do yourself a favor when you are 60, do the low cost ride NOW and keep it for seven years or so...

Well, I will say this, when I was in college there is NO WAY I could have afforded that '05 you're driving now...so yeah, I can understand why you'd be having trouble paying for it.

How upside down are you on the '05? Can you trade it without losing a ton of money? If so, I would definitely get something cheaper.
