When using the search function go into advanced search and then use the little Google search box that is in there. That way you use Googles vast resources to search ALL the posts on DTR and you don't overload the server

That is because they don't have the vast number threads and information that can be found here. The server overloads if you search with a generic term or say a popular subject like transmission. Use the Google Search box in advanced search and you will be delighted with the results

best solution I have found for searching a forum is to use google and put "site:dieseltruckreource.com" at the end of the search string. This limits google to searching ONLY the site you specify.

That is what the Google box in the "Advanced Search" does, it ONLY searches DTR.

Quite often when I am looking/searching for something its usually in my hand...like a pen or on my head...like my glasses. Is this along the same lines?

I keep google open all the time anyway. I started doing it that way because of arfcom and their crappier search engine.

Lary, would it be possible to get a search bar that was googled powered right up in the right corner, kinda like this site Audizine

Maybe that costs extra?

Just a thought, it works real slick.
