Nightshift here. Merry Christmas and straighten up. Gonna put everybody in a jar with Heidi and shake it up. Slow drive in tonight, had to thaw the jeep out first, it was coated.

Scott, when I posted about the ice earlier, we had a jacknife semi and multiple cars in the ditch at the Watervleit exit. I think most of it was a hair west of ya.

Bob, yes the mass air sensor, i/e MAAP, etc. All they had to do, I would think, was check fule pressure to verify your pump was ok.

Wow, three pages of bla, bla bla, furball needs a haircut, bla bla bla, Cincy needs to work, don't touch me, stop looking at me. Sure is nice to see brothers getting along like brothers.

Leaving in the morning to see family in Ohio. Truck is as ready as I can get for now. Taking a little firewood to my sister, tires checked, new wiper blades installed, new marker lights because the old ones leak, new bulbs in the driving lights since one was out and new batteries because I was still on the originals and they were dropping to 12.4v overnight. They were cranking a little slower and I figured it wouldn't take but one good cold soak at 20 degrees to finish them off and strand me.

We had a nice get together tonight with the kids. Hunter opened his gifts and had a blast, he's into it a little more this year. Everybody got back to their houses safe and then, true to form, the phone rang. My daughter had called a friend to wish her well and found out her cancer was out of control, prognosis was a week, maybe. I honestly had a hard time finding the words to comfort my daughter, not really sure I got it right. How do you get that right? I'll turn 52 in a couple weeks. After more than a half century on this earth I still can't wrap my head around why some things happen the way they do. Guess I've got allot to think about tomorrow.

Now I'd like to take a minute to thank all of you for being the people you are. For taking care of your families, thinking of the folks around you that need a little help every now and then and mostly for remembering the reason we celebrate this season. Tomorrow most of you will celebrate with your families and friends. When you get the chance, especially if you take a meal with the family, remember the folks who are serving away from their families. You or yours may have brave souls in your families that give of their time, either on the home front or overseas, and they need our support and our prayers more than ever.
