If you're not seeing a lot of carbon on the tailpipe, smoke at start-up, or smell excess gas in the oil, it probably won't make a noticable difference. The biggest help guys do to benefit the jeep is cleaning up the sensors at the throttle body. There should be a write up on jeepsunlimited.

Id say some hairspray and a BBQ lighter would be much quicker and and heck of a lot more entertaining.

Been up since about 0230 watching it. Rain is coming in hard and the wind has the trailer a rockin. Doppler doesnt show anything real threatning though.

Morning to all. Its gonna be a wet South Louisiana Christmas for us.

Coffee is on, strong enough to float a horseshoe. PH00, and hot cocoa too. A Dew in the fridge in case long lost Ratl shows up. Couple plates of Christmas fudge on the counter, one with pecans, the other peanut butter. Yall enjoy.

Off to the inlaws this morning, opening gifts with them, then its my folks this evening. Christmas day is a huge family dinner at my parents with all the family invited.

Yall take care now ya hear.

Oh nice, reeeal nice. Just what some kid that might be reading this needs, another idea. And besides, windshield washer fluid works better.

Morning all.

Today is Thursday, December 24th, Christmas Eve.

On this day in 1814 - The War of 1812 between the U.S. and Britain was ended with the signing of the Treaty of Ghent in Belgium.

1818 - Franz Gruber of Oberndorf, Germany composed the music for "Silent Night" to words written by Josef Mohr.

1851 - A fire devastated the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, destroying about 35,000 volumes.

1865 - Several veterans of the Confederate Army formed a private social club in Pulaski, TN, called the Ku Klux Klan.

1914 - In World War I, the first air raid on Britain was made when a German airplane dropped a bomb on the grounds of a rectory in Dover.

1943 - U.S. President Roosevelt appointed Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower supreme commander of Allied forces as part of Operation Overlord.

1944 - A German submarine torpedoed the Belgian transport ship S.S. Leopoldville with 2,235 soldiers aboard. About 800 American soldiers died. The soldiers were crossing the English Channel to be reinforcements at the battle that become known as the Battle of the Bulge.

1948 - The first completely solar-heated house became occupied in Dover, MA.

1968 - The crew of the U.S. Navy ship, Pueblo, was released by North Korea. The Captain of the Pueblo, Commander Lloyd M. Bucher, and 82 of his crew were held for 11 months after the ship was seized by North Korea because of suspected spying by the Americans.

1968 - Three astronauts, James A. Lovell, William Anders and Frank Borman, reached the moon. They orbited the moon 10 times before coming back to Earth. Seven months later man first landed on the moon.

Now get out there and start your Christmas shopping!

Just learned all about oxygen sensor or, I think they are also called an "air mass sensor" ???? or is that something different? Also about cleaning up the throttle body. It cost me $1100. Mama's Lincoln decided it wanted attention - - after messing around I had it hauled in. They told me fuel pump - - to the tune of $1100 after all completed. Took a trip - - still quit and had to drive two footed to keep it running. My smarty son from Seattle was there and told me about his Jeep (with 230,000 on it) and his throttle body and oxygen sensor. Drove to other son's and we cleaned both up. Has been running beautiful ever since. The service rep and I had a long conversation about mechanics that look for the most expensive so they can get their cut of the action. That issue is not dead. The butterfly was completely covered with dirt including the idle mechanism. Rotten way to do business. If the guy had been smart, he would have taken five minutes and cleaned those up after he changed the pump and I would have never known the difference.

Gorgeous morning down here and heading for 80 today - - nice. Little rain scheduled for Saturday and 75. OK, mama has my chores laid out for the day before we get bombarded with hungry mouths. Strange - - these chores look like pink chores, not blue chores. Hmmm???? Maybe I should have her clean up the lanai - - uuuuhhhhh, I think not - - - if I want to eat.

Hey, have a great one today. One day before we celebrate Christ's birth - - neat.

Bob

Why? You don't! And I figured you wanted to stay along the lines of something that you're familiar with and wouldn't confuse you too much.

Well good morning, Scott - - I see you are in your normal mood. Hey, laugh - - she used to. I would come home on Thursday nights, she would say go in the bedroom and change clothes - - no hello, no nuthin. I knew what it meant. I had been getting hard to be around - - too busy. So, I would go in and change clothes (I knew better than question the statement) noting whether they were RV clothes or boating clothes. She would have cancelled my Friday appointments, the RV would be loaded or she would have called the marina and the boat would be at the dock, fueled and ready for the weekend. See, sometimes it is better to not fight it - - go with the flow. She watches out for me pretty good - - I am a very fortunate man.

Hey, I tried going the 'nice' route once. No one liked it and kept asking 'what happened to Scott'. So I went back to my old lovable self, and no one likes that either!

Maybe I should just go away.

<sigh>

And . . . . . .

what are your wishes for furball - - I would love to hear them.

WHOA - - WHAT IN THE WORLD. Oh my gosh - - scared the life out of me. This most horrible croaking just started right outside my open office window - - mercy. Two sand hill cranes are walking my front porch looking in the open window at me - - they must like what they saw cause they sure started croaking. Probly thot I look like a chameleon which they love finding in my bushes. Man, what a pre-historic squawk they have - - I did not see them coming. Mercy. I know Scott - - I look like a pre-historic man.

Bob
