Sideshaft? Still sounds like a big investment. No point in putting a $75 beater on, ya can't keep running. Will a small mower engine have the torque? If so, might try a chain and cog so the belts wont slip in the snow?

UUhhhhh, hey Marc - - how can your Christmas be blessed when you have to go back to jail - - what did you do now????

Been quiet around here and no fresh coffee on tonight. Guess I will stir up a pot and grab one on the way out. Looks like the night owls stayed in the nest last night - - cold and nasty up north. I thought about you guys today while I was running around in my shorts and T shirt. Heading for 80 tomorry - - yeh - - that is a good thing - - I like 80 - - nice bike riding temp.

Saw the doc today on the shoulder - - took pics - - he doesn't like it - - thinks it may have a torn something. MRI on Monday to try and see it better than the XRay. That is a big YUK - - . Thought of you, Scotty - - guess I better quit lifting all those heavy spheres. I don't like the thoughts of what that entails. YUK

OK, grabbing my ph00 and gone - - have a good one.

Bob

Yup--the lady moose are unpredictable. Sometimes they run away just by yelling at them--other times they run at you when you make a loud noise (like firing a 12G).

I will keep my fingers crossed that your little tax deduction shows up safely before New years.

Head-up midwest. Northern Indiana and the SW corner of Michigan are getting the freezing rain now. Lot of slide-offs already.

Leave it to Fronty to depress me

Been outside all day cutting the trees that have invaded the drive and avoiding moose. They love the newer growth on the tops of birch trees and come running when they hear a chain saw. Later!!!
didn't mean to bum you out.

Fiver- I'm blessed esspecially since I get to walk out every day and go home to my family. Sorry bout the shoulder. I'd avoid surgery if at all possible. Rehab is a PITA.

Bark- Yes, I'm off for new years

just finished dinner at Grandpa's. Excellent spiral ham. I'm stuffed and have to start getting ready to work tomorrow.

It was interesting stepping out of the fiver in some campgrounds in the mornings up there. You better watch out for the moose apples usually right at the bottom of your steps. YUK Fun watching them come up and look in the big picture window at the rear of the rig. They can be quite protective of their little ones. Several of us had to rescue a guy in Canada that was pinned by a huge bull Elk. These stupid people see an animal beside the road, get out of their cars and go up close to take a better picture. This guy was trumpeting and wanting a female, not a dumb photographer. Ran him in behind a tree and kept him there for about an hour. News go into the camp, so we walked in from behind the guy from different angles and confused the Elk so the guy could get away into the trees with us. I wonder what he learned???

Just came in from the lanai enjoying the evening with a cup of java. Just pleasantly cool, crickets chirping and one of the owls is out there. So neat.

Marc, I'm blest also - - wonderful wife, great kids and grandkids, healthy and comfortable. God has been good to us and we are grateful. He is good.

Yeah it's been freezing rain here since early afternoon. Sure does make driving anywhere tonight interesting.
