just some info on rust at the bottom of doors. (seam area). a guy i worked with was a body man for years, and a car collector. every car he bought , the first thing he does is take the plastic trap door off the side of the door on the end where the lock is., and spray motor oil down inside of the door. ( first tape off the drain holes) and wait till the oil seeps out. this will keep the rust from forming on the inner skins of your door. i've done this on 2 vehicles, and no probs yet.
That works for most vehicles because they rust from the inside of the door outwards. But the problem with Ram doors is that the paint flakes off the doors, causing them to rust from the outside in. If they are caught early, they can be spot sandblasted and repainted. I Herculined mine, and hopefully they will hold up for a couple years (or longer).
