Rough Month
Rough Month
Hey all!
Over the last year or so, I have seen a lot of bad stuff go down. I guess this is my turn. As most of you know, I just moved from FL to WA with the Navy, but I spent the last three weeks at home in CA visiting family. Almost as soon as I got home, my sister told me that my dad recently took a turn for the worse (he's been sick for some time now). During the time that I was out taking care of my dad, I was coming back one night from visiting friends, and was rear ended by a drunk driver. So, now my bumper is in a world of hurt, but no body damage.
After all that, I found out that he died Friday night from the cancer. Oh yeah,...and I started work again on Monday. I had been saying I wanted to get hit so I could get a new bumper,...I wasn't exactly serious. Anyway, I'll keep y'all posted on the new bumper.

-SFB

Re:Rough Month
sorry to hear about your father, you are in our prayers. I have had a rough month myself. My family had a round with the flu, found out that our car insurance was canceled, then I developed an infection in my foot, preventing me from working.

We just have to remember that life has some tall hurdles. But nothing that determination can't handle.

SFB, very sorry to hear about your dad, my grandfather was just diagnosed as well. He's anly had it a couple monthe they say, but was growing so fast they don't give him a lot of time. We are an extrememy close family. Don't be shy at the new unit assignment, the military is very close and has some outstanding support programs as I'm sure you've been told about many times.

Glad the drunk didn't do anything worse to ya. Hope he's getting what's coming to him/her. We're here for ya.

Our prayers go out to you and your family in your recent loss.

About your bumper, check with Rip (you met him at Hoss'es bomb party). He may be able to do something for you. He's a very fair tradesman and he's one of us. Remember the white ram with the mud all over?

~dave
