Lary Ellis (Top) 07-08-2005 03:23 PM

Rob was fighting Lou Gehrigs disease.

That's a rough row to hoe:(

Rob was for sure a classy guy. I didn't work with him much but we did some stuff behind the scenes of websites here and there. He'll be missed. God Speed Rob.

It all started with Lyme disease which he had been diagnosed with just before his February BOMB party (2005) they think he was bitten the previous Summer while camping fishing and hiking in Monatana.

Here is a link that he provided to us at the bombers discussing the conection:

Rob was one great guy it seemed everybody he met became his new best friend.....he was my brother John's best friend they lived near each other and seem to have everything in common, infact he even found a husband for his sister-in-law were he worked at the FAA.

As Rob was 49 years old, he would have been eligible to retire from the FAA at 50 (this year), which he fully intended to do (God willing). That would have been after his next birthday which would have been November 23rd, 2005.

I would like to ask you for prayers to support Jan, Bridget, and family

This was his gift to us:

Rob was an air traffic controller. He was in the end a supervisor and I am sure they are also grieving his lost their today. When I ask him what he did their he told me "mostly shot spit balls and rubber bands at the controllers" :D he was probably telling me the truth. Rob also said "The movie ""Pushing Tin"" was just about right on except they share wives" he was always the jokester.

wow cool. I was a controller too. I had no idea.

I got to meet Rob (and many of the NWBombers) shortly before I moved from the Seattle area.
Everything said & written about him is the honest truth. He warmly embraced my son & me when I joined them on a Bombvoy to BD Dyno Days and again at a BOMB party at his house.
He touched the lives of many people in his short 49 years.
