The sad part is that the Coast Guard sinks these classics when they catch them. What a waste of a good vehicle and great ingenuity.

I wonder how the USCG sinks 'em. M2? Coaxial? That's a shame. That would make an interesting toy out on the lake if it could be made legal.

We used to use a fire hose and swamp the vessels that had been seized.( After draining the fuel tanks ect, and towing them out to deep water.) A few of them were towed in and later auctioned. At least that was the way back in teh early 80's..

Remember the Amphibious car they made back in the 60s.
Poor people must be desperate to risk their life and leave everything they own to cross the ocean on floating sheetmetal. This is a GREAT country.
