Are you both autos? Better yet are you both 4x4's? $1000 has me think he has more than meets the eye. Normally, since I own a 02 stroker with a TS performance Chip and the 06 Cummins with the Smarty, The Cummins will win. I've taken both to the track, and the Cummins is faster (and that is with 35s and a manual G-56 to boot). Now that I have a turbonectics BB turbo, modded BTS trans, and reprogrammed TS I would say the stroker can take my 06. I'd definately be careful if guys are willing to throw down that coin.

So you are talking in the 1/4 mile then I take it? Are you both driving automatics? A stick will be about 1 second slower. I would say that if he has told you the truth about his mods, you will win. Will he allow you to check under the hood of his truck? I don't know how easy it is to pick out an aftermarket turbo and injectors in a Ford, but like snoyes said in the above post, either this guy is hideing something, or just not that smart. I think you will win.

in order to veiw the fuel injectors on the PSD, the valve covers must be removed. the stock injectors are probably 120cc injectors. my 97' had 90cc.
i'd run him with the dodge i have. this thing is fast and fun and it's basically stock

Stroker-
Its Cummins, not Cummin"g"s, that is a sin on this board. Anyways I tried to PM you, but your PM is blocked. How do you like those 35's on stock rims? PM me if you would like.

If he is telling the truth about his mods, I don't see how you can lose. A Smarty only should put you around 460 hp or so.
I don't think a 99 PS with a superchips would be anywhere close to that.

I agree with RAMRODD. The most he'll get out of any chip without supporting mods is 100 HP. So max HP he'll get is around 335-350 HP. You should definately have a HP advantage on him....

I had an 01 psd, which was a higher hp motor, and had a different turbo wheel to the 99.
My first upgrade was a superchip, gauges, and 4" exhaust, and the truck ran well with the 35"s, probably close to my 07 cummins with the xzt tow chip on stockers.
I later switched out to a Diablo flip chip, and the turbo wheel that came on the 99, 8" lift, and 37"s. The psd was a monster with this setup. I never dino'd it, but wouldn't even think about running it with my current setup.

Unless he has a lot of work done that he isn't telling you about I don't see you losing.
To get a 7.3 to 450 rear wheel hp takes a bit of work. I would think turbo, injectors, programmer or stacked programmers. Not to mention tranny work.
