Ram Hellcat

Ok,

I know this is our diesel forum, and I also know that nearly everyone knows or owns a gasser as well as their beloved cummins...

So with that being said....

Strangely (or not), I'd rather have the V8 Cummins. As for the Hellcat engine, I think it would be awesome in a 63 Dodge Dart.

At the Carlisle show there was a 70 to 75 Dodge W200 with a 572 crate hemi in it. It was one for my "dream rides" collection.

Love the Hellcat challengers and chargers. Maybe someday I'll have one. As for that truck, cool idea. But that truck is hideously ugly. The srt10 truck was at least pleasing to the eye

Cummins is trying to get EPA approval for using their 2.8L F series 4 cylinder for highway use. Wouldn't be bad in an old short-box.

Peterson's 4 wheel and off-road tested a 5 liter Cummins, they said it's got 6.4L hemi performance and fuel mileage with a B series price tag.

If I could afford a Hellcat, I could afford to get some small gas-pump shaped magnets, pull up beside a prius, stick one on the door, and drive away. Pull off, let them go by, and do it again.

Wonder what it would be like in a lil red express with all the electronic nannies shut off.....

I had one of those V-10's It was unbelievable. Almost to the point of being dangerous. I would never let anyone else drive it. I remember once, I took it up to 110 and wasn't anywhere near having it to the floor. Several times passing people at highway speeds it would spin tires if you punched it too much. Imagine breaking the rear en loose when your already doing 60 or more. It would do it. It did it. My FIL used it a couple of times to pull his camper. Probably about a 16 or 18 foot. Nothing too big. On I-10 he set the cruise at 100 and left it for hours.

That's the one that was stolen. In the end, I'm glad it was gone. Not gone by being stolen, but gone because it was so impracticable.
