Ram 50, Weber ?s and rebuild

I'm seriously considering rebuilding the engine on our little 88 Ram 50 with 2.0 engine and standard trans. I'm not having much luck finding engine parts or low mileage engines on the net. At a decient price anyway. The goal is a low cost high mpg beater.

Anyone have any sources you'd share.

On the Weber part of the question. The stock carb has been in need of replacement for a long time. I've found a factory rebuild (?) on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Holle...QQcmdZViewItem

It's a carb that was orginally for a Chevy Vega. 32/36 Weber with a coolant controlled choke. I'm considering buying one for $90 including shipping, rather than spring for about $300 for a Weber carb and installation kit for a new carb.

Any thoughts on the Weber would be appricated.
Thanks, RR
