My friend has been pulled over about 10 times in 6 months (no tickets the lucky b******). His inspection was a year overdue and no ticket and no ticket for no front licensce plate. My dad got pulled over for speeding and all the cop said was "Put the licensce plate on the front". : Most cops don't care. It's not that big of a deal to them. Besides, when have you ever seen a front licensce plate that looked good on a Corvette or Cobra?

Up here....in particular the Plano police department...they will pull you over and write you a ticket for nothing more than not having the front plate. A girl I work with had it happen to her. So...I guess it just depends on the department.

Re:Radar

I just run between 5 and 10 over the limit on the freeway and interstates. I have found the CB quite helpful. I just listen for when the jabber increases, and you are usually near where there is a speed cop. Usually, I can't have it on when the kids are in the truck, too much swearing and talking about "lot lizards".

I have friends and relatives in Law Enforcement, and they tell me that they hate radar detectors (of course). If they catch someone speeding and see that they have a radar detector, that person WILL get a ticket. However, if the person has no radar detector, is honest, and treats them with respect, they usually issue a warning.

Re:Radar

I still stand by my original statement. Scanners, jammers AND radar detectors are illegal if (and that is the key word) anyone is using them to circumvent the law.
Tom
