Question for a Dodge mechanic
We have a 2008 Grand Caravan that was purchased back in April. It has the 3.8L V6. I know that they have a block heater option. I am wondering if Dodge installed the heater in the engine and want to sell the cord, like they do on the third gen Rams.
If a heater is installed, where on the engine would it be?

Man, I got duped. I typed up a response and hit submit and it took me to a site ad (thread) and never processed the submitted post.
Anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if it did since you're in a northern state. My Patriot (Cali) didn't come with it pre-installed minus cord, but from what I read the Northern and Canadian versions come with them.

I appreciate it guys. I remember the option cost $35, just like how much they cost for the 3rd gen Rams. That is what got me thinking that the heater may already be installed without the cord. We bought the van in Maine.

On an '06 3.8l T&C it's located on the rear head in the rear freeze plug just above the RH side inner CV joint. Probly not too bad to install if you have a lift or don't mind workin on your back.
