Push-Lok Fittings

Where can I buy these fittings???

Fronty Owner 08-14-2007 01:16 PM

you mean like a drive screw or the plastic buttons with the barbs on them?

josterbauer 08-14-2007 01:17 PM

The brass fittings used to make fuel systems.

Any place that makes hoses/hydraulic lines.

Fronty Owner 08-14-2007 01:23 PM

oh, a hose barb.
any of the local hydraulics shops will have them. the local auto parts shops may have some that are barb x barb or barb X AN/NPT/SAE.
I would try the hydraulics shop first, they will most likely have exactly what your looking for. My local shop has everything from 1/8" to 4" in a Barb X Barb connector.

I used the push-lok fittings with non push-lok hose and had leak issues.
I think Grainger had some fittings but the hose was only sold in increments of 25 feet or so and was expensive so I didn't buy it. After the leaks, I bought regular barbed fittings at Napa and haven't had a problem since.

YMMV,

Also where can you buy the push-lok fuel line for the fittings? Any of the vendors sell it here?

Any of the regular "push-lok" style hose from Aeroquip or Russel or Earls or whatever should work just fine.

These hoses have a special inner liner of really soft material that gives the barbs of the fittings something to bite into. If you use it with regular hose, it might seal and it might not.

I know that with the Aeroquip hose and push-on fittings I have, there's not a chance in Haiti that this thing will leak.

The best place, by far, is Vulcan Performance! Eric has any fuel fitting, hose, system you need. You will not find a finer vendor. I have bought numerous items from him, LP relocation kit, FASS, Drag Comp, FP isolator and fuel line/hose. http://www.vulcanperformance.com

You can get a few Push Lock fittings at Home Depot, Honest..
Check in the tool corral where they have the air hoses, they sell the ends for the I think it was Camel air hose which is a Push Lock hose.

For those of you who do not know, never, never, never put a hose clamp on a Push Lock hose, the barbs are sharp and will cut into the liner and cause the hose to fail.

I know it is hard to think you can just push the hose onto the fitting and it will hold.

Heck yeah it will hold. Try and pull on off without cutting the hose and you'll see.
