My beloved Aunt is having a leg amputated tomorrow. She is 86 and very faithful, but I fear for her recovery and quality of life.

Thanks guys! We have had some complications re: anesthesia so she hasn't had the surgery yet to remove her leg. She now has to have a valve replaced in her heart, which should happen today, and then on to the leg issue.

The delays are so frustrating, but dad agrees she is being well cared for and the right decisions are being made for her.

Thanks guys! She has been diagnosed with an abdominal anuerism that has now mad the leg amputation too risky. She is scheduled for a heart valve and then when her strentgh is up she gets the anuerism addressed.

Her foot and lower leg are responding well to some sort of circulation improvement therapy and the prognosis is she may be able to keep it a while longer.

This is a real roller coaster for all of us!!
