Polishing Question

Got my truck used and since then have added a few of my own marks and scratches. Was going to try a orbital buffer and some kind of polish to try to get it looking better. Any good ideas? Thanks all.
Ed

I suppose you could use some polishing compound. I think 3M makes some. Kind of tan or lt.brown in color. I would definately watch that sander if you havent used one before. You can get the paint too hot with one. :o

Re:Polishing Question

Sherod,
Dojman is right on - - 3M makes one of the best products. It is called Glazing Compound. It is a white thick liquid and it will make the finish as slick as a baby fanny. One problem, you can burn your finish or go thru the clear coat so quick you will not even realize you have done it with an orbital machine unless you are really good with one. You would do better with a random polisher unless you are a pro with the orbital.
