Next month I will be taking my truck with my wife and driving via San Antonio and Dallas to Wichita. May even take a quick trip to Oskaloosa, IA, but that part is still TBD. Have made the trip up north many times, but this time have a bit more time, so am considering some stops on the way back home to see some stuff that we have not seen or done before. Could even come back home via Nashville and New Orleans, but that is quite a bit of extra driving.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what to see or do that is maybe different and not involve too much extra driving or expense?

Trivia; Google maps tell me that from my house to Oskaloosa is about 1,800 miles one way. Driving empty this time and not towing my RV.

It would be nice to meet you too, but for this trip KY is a bit too far east and out of the way. Maybe one day will take a drive up to visit my sons in Toronto and could do it then. Thanks for the invite.
