Our President: The Cowboy
Funny how some people from other nations understand the real United States better than alot of people who live here. That being said, in regard to the "hero that has no plan", Do you really think he is going to confide in you his strategy? You wanna see dead soldiers, just give the media a hint of what will be done and it will be posted on billboards all over the middle east. And shoot lets put somebody else in office, maybe we can get someone like ol' Bill, did you know he had a chance to get osama? but he was to busy playing golf to give the go ahead...it really happened. I for one am in a setting where I get to hear liberal college students who think they know something because they watched ten minutes of CNN and their idiot ethics prof. praises them because they are "thinkers" b1tch and moan all day about our President and i am sick of the ignorance in this country...stupid people should not breed.

I haven`t been to work in a month.
Better yet, come to California. We got a shortage of ironworkers out here.
And those of you "yankees" from the northeast.......y'all haven't got the first clue of what the real west is about. Some of us still value the priciples laid down by our forebearers 150 years ago.
To us, it's more of a "rule" than a "guideline".....
I was looking in the want ads, I can't believe GWB isn't looking for iron workers
In all honesty and respect, I don't see how one man can possibly be responsible for the employment for all industry's in the U.S. The economy is very dynamic and ever changing. Some industries slow down periodically, some become obsolete, some thrive. It is the responsibility of employees to be able to adapt. It is a moral responsibilty for American employers to keep America strong and working. The Liberal answer for your plight is to extend unemployment benefits, not to get you back to work. The next 4 years with GWB may not be perfect but I think we will see the fruit of his labor flourish and the economy will improve in all sectors.
Oh Ya, My money has the word GOD on it and the United States on it, I don't hear any one protesting church and state by not accepting it. If you want to see a country functions without GOD look at Iraq, or any other 3rd world country. GOD Bless America!

As a NYC Ironworker, i was there on sept 12, digging for boddies. Me and my brothers volenteered many hours, with hope of finding survivors.
When GWB was asked if he has been relying on his father for advice on what to do , he said "no, i confide in the lord, and he tells me what to do" WHAT!!?? you gotta be kidding me. how about separating church and state, its in the oath he took.

If GWB is sincere in that statement, I'm not kidding you, its time we had some political faith in God back in this country. As Stan said, there is no such a thing as "separation of church and state" in the law or the Constitution. Only in Supreme Court Judges minds. Have you ever wondered how "In God We Trust" got on the money? Certainly not from separation. In the 50's Congress voted to include "Under God" in the pledge, guess that Congress did not think there was a separation either. You live in a country that over 80% of the population claims to be believers, getting hard to see that any more.
Fellow members, The phrase "separation of church and state" , is a legal opinion from 1 ( one ) attorney, from the late 60's.
Some people think it is a law, geeze!!
My opinions are to hang any person who trys to run for re-election the 3rd time. And that all citizens should carry a firearm and be proficient. Lets make these the law!!!
Actually the constitution says the government cannot make any laws concerning religion. This is exactly what they are doing.
They took an oath to uphold the constitution. They should be out of office for the laws they are making.

I'm with you Dodgedude361.
Every time I hear these middle-easterners call for Jihad and a holy war against America, it all starts to look like religious fanatasism. Their judgement is clouded by the brainwashing they have been subject to their whole lives. Then I hear our pres say that he leaves the decisions of our great country up to his prayers??? Negative, ghost rider. The pattern is full.

That is one misconception everybody has, no where in the constitution does it says anything about 'Seperation of church and State.' Does this mean that none of our political workers can pray?

Well NYC you live there, would hope you helped if you could. Volunteers came from all over the country to help. Branchville, Alabama had two that I know of that dug in that mess.

What makes you think i`m sitting on my "dead posterior" I`m doing my best. things are slow, it`s not MY fault
that makes even MORE sence, i`ll sell the house, take the kid out of school, and move accross coutry. there`s no need to get nasty with me.
Yankees? dont forget pal, this is where this country was started, not the west. In America, I dont HAVE to live by your rules, and the country should not be run with them anyway.

Not gettin' nasty, just calling it like I see it. I spent 9 years chasing work all over this country, that's what you have to do to make a living in the oil industry. That's what I had to do to put food on my table. Didn't sell the house, didn't pull the kids out of school. Flew home every other weekend. Did that until work picked up locally. Your particular problem has more to do with the increase in the price of steel than the economy.
I know that pal, and that's probably where it's gonna end. I'm quite sure the guys that started this country didn't have our present state of godlessness in mind when they did it. No, you don't have to live by these "rules", but the whole point here is these cowboys, screen or otherwise, lived by the same set of "rules" that made this country great. They believed and stood up for the values that made this country great. These same values that too many people see as an inconvenience.
