Try calling a Shell products bulk dealer in your area.

My Dad buy 55 gallon drums of Rotella T at Sams. Not sure on the cost but he says Sams has the best price around his area.

I don't have a price either, but I have had several people tell me Sam's has the best price.

I was at Sams yesterday and noticed that they had 6-1gal jugs in a box for 35.98 so I would guess that a drumm would be less expensive. At that price it was at least .40 less (a gal) than Pepboys.

I have a friend running 11 Peterbuilts and he buys the Rotella by the drum at Sam's. Not sure what the cost is, but he says it the best price he has found.

its wierd how they price this stuff .... i get my rotella t from my local tractor supply store.. if you figure the price per quart, its cheaper to buy 3-1 gallon jugs than it is to buy a 5 gallon bucket. actually even the individual quarts were cheaper than the 5 gallon bucket . i thought buying in volume was suppossed to save you money. thats why im curious what a 55 gal drum would cost. id like to break the drum price down into the per quart price and see how much it saves to buy in a bulk that size.

$ 262.00 for 55 gal huh ... lets see how that works out. 55 gal x 4 quarts in a gal = 220 qts / by $262 = 84 cents a quart. seems pretty good. now if u change your oil every 5000 miles and use 3 gal at each change that drum should last 90,000 miles.

Looks like 4.76 per gallon, or 1.19 per quart. Maybe it's the old math

i think it dpends how you break it down. i came up with those fiures also by doing the breakdown anotherway .... been out of school to long i guess ... at 1.19 a qt ill keep buying it by the gallon, not much savings there to warrant a drum of oil sitting around

Haveing all the tractors and trucks that we own and change the oil in it sure does help to have a drum or 3 sittile around
