That is so much like something my dad would do that I can't even bring myself to acknowledge it...

I just wonder if that cat would think it was just as funny if I jumped out of his closet with a ball bat.

I had to laugh at that as well. I agree it is not apropriate to do that to a child that young but it brought back memories of this past Christmas when I was talking to a good freind via a IM site and sent him something like that. It was one where you had to try and make it threw and someone like Brittny Spears or Paris would get "better looking" with every sucsesfull pas threw the maze. We where using audio conversation at the time and all I heard was the scream then him using a lot of choise words and then he started yelling at me. He was less than amused. He was realy hoping to make it to the end. I just IMed him that video and he was still not amuzed buy it.

I would be willing to foot 1/2 the bill to get you there and back

The whole thing becomes an issue only because of the extremely young age of that child. He is just a baby and needs to know his daddy will protect him, not scare him to death.

That wasn't your fault, someone else would have eventually. I don't blame you at all, I doubt very seriously you would do that to your own child. Of course when they become teenagers and start driving you nut's....they are fair game

Well...you are correct about that. I have to say that I'm surprised the kid reacted the way he did though. I'm not sure how old he was, but I would guess 8-10. I wouldn't have expected him to react the way he did.

Just to clarify, that was not MY video or MY son. I just saw it posted on another forum and brought it here.

Just close your eyes and count Hoss's jumping the fence in a DTR thong. You'll be out in no time.

Child abuse is only one thing.

LACKING.

More of it and thered be a little more control in this darned country.

Im only 21, i got my rear whooped plenty of times, and im glad. for it.

No worse than letting your kids watch horror movies, except those have a longer lasting effect on them.

Posting it on the internet, pretty lame. Doing it to begin with, awesome. i had plenty similar things done as a child and all it does is teaches you not to be so darned gullible and sissy like.

Everyone has there own opinion but I wouldn't call that child abuse.
When my kids were about that age, I scared the cr@p out of them. We had dressed up a scare crow sitting on a table in my work clothes for Halloween. That night I snuck out there and put on the clothes and got on the table sitting real still. My wife told them that I needed the boots for work the next day. They came out pulling on my boots when I jumped up and yelled.
They still laugh about it today. One of there fondest memories and they are not warped from it.
There is alot of terrible child abuse in the country but I wouldn't say that man abused his child IMHO.
