Oh Noes!!! I threw a rod!
Guys this is serious, I totally blew the #2 rod in my air compressor. Oil-less compressors stink! Luckily the 6hp electric motor is ok. I want to spin this thing around 90° and slap a pulley and belt on it. I'd like to have a 2 stage, oiled compressor for it. Where's the best place to pick one up?

Ouch. Might want to try looking for a Ingersoll Rand dealer nearby. Might have what you are looking for, or could get you something.
Yep, oil less compressors are terrible. Noisy, no oil. Only good thing is they are cheap, but you get what you pay for.

If you are tight on budget, try harbor freight. I've seen some compressor pumps there. Although, you may have a similar issue with life expectancy.
It's hard to go wrong with IR.
You could try your local craig's list or the yellow pages. Local industrial compressor stores usually have used / rebuilt equipment for sale all the time.
