This is the going argument between me and a good friend of mine.

He claims that it is an injustice that my wife does not put nuts in her brownies, my wife refuses to (as do I) and he 'cries' about it every time he comes over, even though I feed him for free... (just bustin your chops, 04!!)
He claims that nuts belong in everything, from cake to icecream, pizza to bread. Says something about not being a true southener if you don't like nuts in everything, and I resent that remark...

So, which is it? Nuts or not?

 

Welll, I dont like nuts cooked into anything, 'cause I got bad teeth and it hurts!!!!

AS far as "not being a true southener ", well, I grew up in Oklahoma, Tx, La., and I dont think I ever heard that as a requirement, most places I ate didn't put nuts in stuff, granmaw didnt and momma dont either.....I dont like pecan pie either( tho squirrel is good)....I'd say if he dont like the cooking, he dont have to eat!!!( might do him some good) she can send all the brownies he dont like my way.....

I don't care for nuts in most things... as the saying goes: "you are what you eat..."

 

I put walnuts in oatmeal, peanutbutter (Skippy Super Chunk ONLY) on leftover waffles, peanuts in stir fry, and ALWAYS put some kinda nuts in brownies.

I don't like nuts in fudge or brownies, I prefer the taste of the chocolate

Nuts belong in a bowl or jar on the table.

 

You have to be nuts to eat brownies without nuts.

 

Nuts with a brew NOT brownies!! only chocolate in brownies with a tall glass of milk.

 

I cant stand nuts, period. Dont like 'em alone or in anything. My moms brownies are good, except she puts walnuts in and puts coconut frosting on top

I just take the top off and take out the nuts...Grandma always spoiled me; it was no nuts "cause Timothy wont eat it." (Grandma was the only one that got away with callin me Timothy too...) shed even make bacon extra crispy for me too! Man, I miss grandmas cookin...

I prefer nuts in the brownies, but it won't hurt my feeling if they're not in there. I'll still eat the brownie/s!

 

I don't like nuts, and especially not ruining the gooey goodness of a brownie.

 

Beer nut with beer and nut in Chex Mix. Not brownies or CC cookies.
