Norad tracks Santa

If you are a computer addict and want to know when Santa is near you- use the Norad tracking service:

http://www.noradsanta.org/en/home.htm

There is also a google earth plugin.

We have done this for the last 2 years. My daughter is 5 and she loves it. There is a new thing this year. You can email Santa and he will send you back a response. My daughter got 2 back (1 yesterday then a 2nd today) that says Santa has been really busy checking out his new sleigh they built for this year. In the letters he says that he checked and she is definetly on the nice list again this year. I told my wife maybe he needs to check it twice as the song says because I'm not really sure he saw her name. LOL.. But I read that to her and she started jumping up and down and saying I'm on the nice list , I'm on the nice list. It was hillarious. You can check back on there and see where he has been over the whole evening. It really is neat to do. I have to share a funny story. The last 2 years, we have had trouble getting my daughter to go to sleep because she has been so excited that Santa is coming. So the year before I started something. We have this decoration with sleigh bells on it. So we tell her that Santa won't stop and leave her anything if she isn't asleep when he gets here. So, I sneak outside and stand outside her bedroom window and shake the bells. My wife is always telling her she needs to go to sleep as I do this and she says her eyes get so big and she says oh no I'm not asleep yet. The trick works everytime, she goes right to sleep.

Thats great!! I'm gonna have to show that to my kiddos next year. Unfortunately, Im stuck at the firehouse tonight The best part about Santa is getting to see your kids get sooooo excited and anxious. Hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
