I have the A/t's and they are a pretty soft tire and wearing fast. Positives grip road well on wet and dry pavement and good ride. Downside is off pavement they are not that impressive tread pattern doesnt clean out and spins easily on wet grass.
I will be going back with something a little bit more aggressive because of being in and out of some slick places sometimes and hate having to put it in 4wd as soon as you pull off the pavement. But like I said I do love how sticky they are on pavement.

Not what I want to hear.. I need something that is going to wear better than my current tires (Mastercraft courser CT's.) And it doesn't sound like these will fit the bill. I have heard some good things about them though. People seem to be mixed in how well they wear.

Try looking for Dayton brand tires , and timberline MT as your model , that's what I have been running for over a year , and almost 40 000 miles ( plus a dozen or so smokey burnouts , and I would say they are around 50% tread now. Not an overly expensive tire , very good weight rating ( i have 285's) and they seem to last very well for an aggressive tire.

They even survived this with little to no noticable wear:

Have you guys considered Toyo's? I LOVE their MT's.....best dang mudder I've ever owned! Even the AT's are an awesome tire, my buddy is running them on his Powerstroke and he is really happy with them.

Nitto Mudgrapplers are NOISY on the highway, I happen to like the noise but if you're not a fan of it you won't like those tires.

I had Nitto's near the top of my list, but hearing owners say 35-40K, I think I'll look elsewhere. For $30-40 more per tire, I'll go with something else that will give me more miles.

Man, I would love to get 35k out of my Mud Grapplers. I am lucky to see 22k before they are so bald they are worthless. Besides that, the noise gets annoying really fast. I am looking at Toyo M/Ts and also the Hankooks...

Right there with you man, that's the only reason I put the SSR's on my truck. Had the 35" Toyo MT's and then stepped up to 38"s.......wanted the Toyo's but couldn't get them. Smaller sizes you can still get fairly easy.
