Just wondering if anyone else saw the premeire episode of the new fire fighting series rescue me last night in FX. Just wondering what everyone thought about it....

I thought it was pretty good....but in a way gives the nyfd a black eye with some of the stuff they do on the show...But other then that it is a really cool show....

 

i dont find it all that great, nothing compared to third watch, i love that show btw it FDNY

 

Haven't seen it yet....but if it's like any other fire department oriented programming, it's probably way over-dramatized. Even Backdraft was cool when it
first came out, now I can't watch it. It's turned into a comedy.

A typical conversation in my station could not be aired on TV. Gotta be thick skinned and not easily offended........
Other than that, we talk about the same stuff at work that everybody else talks about at work.

 

.....Rescue Me I bet comes pretty close . I TiVo every episode. The last episode, "Inches" was hilarious.

 

I've watched Rescue me ever since it premiered and I love it. I like it because it is more realistic but still has drama. Third Watch is great also. Been watching that for a couple years now. Cant wait till it premieres this season. I like em both though.

 

I'm not a fire man but all of my buddies are. They agree it ain't the most accurate show, but it is pretty good. I think it's a good show.
