Same here, closest is a 353 yard rifle shot to the front porch......next one is almost 600 yards.

You always need to have your range card handy.........

If the flaming bag of edit on the doorstep don't work, pick it up with a shovel and fling it on his front door, window, car, etc. at night....

I think he finally got the hint after I dumped his dogs poop in his yard. But he still refuses to pick up after his dog and just walks away. It's not on my property anymore he just allows his dog to go a few houses down from me.

Sounds to me like he is on the fast track to pissing off the whole neighborhood.

Out in the country it is almost easier to shoot ,shovel, and shut up . I hate shooting dogs but its a lot better financially and legally than shooting the owner.
Last time a new neighbor called the sheriff on me for shooting a dog ( his ) that was chasing stock. By the way had asked said neighbor to keep his dog up repeatedly. Deputy showed up asked if I shot the neighbors dog I asked what dog he said thank you ( with a grin )and drove off.
Living in town I feel for you but the picture and animal control is most likely the best all round idea.

asked my city in California cousin what she did for poopy neighbors, as it seems to be the culture.

she did two things, posted a small sign "icon of dog squatting with red delete circle thingy". noted what time this seemed to be occurring.

other neighbors got a pleasant note on their door that she had the signs for free if they did not want crappe on their lawns. (raised awareness)

motion sensor picture. sent to offender to be responsible and pick up after pooch. supplied lil poop bags.

offender went to curb, now parked cars had hazard zones.

other neighbor got involved. apparently he was in the army.
dental floss trip string with ammonia in zip lock baggie, sitting on mousetrap.
when tripped, it snapped and sent ammonia (scent) and spray everywhere.
scared the .....well, you know.

offender used only catch drains now. cousin painted the five stop signs,
with offender's name above the STOP then "poop dumping down the drains" below. Californians are so polite and earth conscious.

those public stockade Puritans were right about public shaming. works wonders..

offender gave up, picked up and had a better life. moral of the story?

be glad you are not in the country....lol

We just had a local Mayor here in Southern California have to resign because of this.

http://m.utsandiego.com/news/2014/ju...s-kneier-poop/

I would set up video cameras and get it from all angles first, then call the PoPo on the poopoo.

Another deterent involves chicken wire and an arc welder.

wow, level of disrespect, childish behavior. yeah, you get to any level of decision over people- you need to be spanked and sent to bed without supper....oh wait, fired. yeah.

NE, yes, exactly. that is why there are no repeat offenders. people who stick to the thought that ______reason is okay. despite laws otherwise, just don't care to do the right thing. then are shocked when a pet is missing and want the FBI on the case.....no sense of balance.

we have no leash laws and supposedly a night quarantine, yet no enforcement. we have no police and a 30-45 minute response possibly from a county or state cop. who does not know the people or the area.

if someone sees a dog chasing deer, there are no questions asked if you are the hunter.....

still think city folks have most of the worries/frustration.....

still chuckling over the possum.....possum poop is dog like....do dit doooo
