And this is as opposed to a focused and well planned lightning strike?

Sorry for no report this morning. Spent half the night on the throne and the other half running between the bathroom and bedroom. Then had an early class this morning. Now I dunno what I'm going to do because I have 30 things I NEED to do and 0 ambition.

Morning all. Shorts, glad to see you back in here, missed ya.

Looks like I'm headed to Nashville next, leaving in a few days. I sure have enjoyed the lack of humidity and rain working in Nebraska. Looks like it's payback time.

Anybody proficiant with Adobe Acrobat? I'm having a few hiccups I can't seem to fix on my own.

That is fascinating. I sure wouldn't want to be the one to fold that hose all back up - - WOW.

Morning gang - - another gorgeous, but brisk, morning on Whidbey Island this morning. We have an ailing horse here today, so waiting for the vet. Always excitement around here. Fire engine went by way down on the highway just before sundown down. The coyotees took off howling and yelping. Sounded like about 50 of them in the woods all around the house. Amazed they have not yet lost a cat or chicken. The owls have had some chicken on the stick a few times though.

We head home in two days, so keep it in road and let us get home without a bunch of fanfare - - OK???? LOL

Bob

Good lord what a night!
Bark, you survive?
Winds hit 141mph out at Palmer last night. No power from the "Y" to Anchorage except in a couple small island of light. Power didn't come back on at Merrill Field until about 10AM. Trees shredded everywhere. Have some damaged airplanes on the field, non of them ours. The CAP building across the runway has a big wood pallet on the roof. There are tar paper roofing shingles scattered about the airport and there are no buildings with that kind of roof anywhere around here. There is a set of floats with no airplane attached to them at the end of out hangar. They weren't there yesterday.

Greetings from up here eh.
Nothing new to report.
Father Inlaw is hanging in there, holding his own for now but still down and fighting infection.

Might be making a road trip down to Douglas Georgia in about 4 wks from now.

chaikwa only feeds his sheep Kentucky bluegrass. Anything else gives them gas and keeps him awake at night.

Really windy today. I almost broke my Beer-Fast and was going to get some.
Pressed the button for the garage door opener and the power went out. Gotta wonder about coincidences some times.

Yeah I did. For once being by the ocean paid off. We didnt get any gusts above 90.
The "Hurricane" (thats what NOAA called it) didnt really take off until it got to you guys.
Our power finally went out this morning. I'm on batteries right now..
Had to drive the plow truck to the runway for an extra wind break/tie down in that dang rain last night. Glad I did.

Almost forgot.
Yet another report from the Unalaska police blotter.
Assistance Rendered - A man reported he had been slapped and hit in the right eye after asking a woman if she was pregnant.
The man was not injured and did not wish to press charges.

Read more here: http://www.adn.com/2012/09/05/261236...#storylink=cpy

I love reading their police blotter. Makes me feel good about myself.

Neat video T-Rad! Don't think they'll have a lot of pressure by the time it gets to the end unless they put a couple of relay pumpers in the line somewhere, but still neat!

You spent most of the day on the phone? RE-install it??? Noooo! I did the UNinstall and I felt a little better. I don't want that stuff back IN me! You're talking in circles Bark!

Seeing as how we're at the end of summer, here's a neat little song you won't mind running thru your head for a while. Oh, and it's all the same guy!
