Message from Quad
I received an email from him today asking me to give a message to everyone. He is again tied up for a few days and won't be able to answer questions like he normally does.
A group of his friends came north to do a little skiing and were involved in a horrific car wreck. One of his friends passed away and the two others are in critical condition.
One friend is banged up but out of the hospital and he is taking care of the 2 children that were also in the vehicle, while their parents are in the hospital.
Quad flew up here to help take care of the little ones and the other stuff, so he will be out of touch for the most part for a few days. He asked that you remember them in your prayers, and thanks you for your understanding.
If you have any direct questions for Quad, please give him a few days to get past this trying time and he will reply to you.

Lary, thank you for sharing that with us. Please let Quad know that we all have him and his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you again Lary. Cin
Thank you again Lary. Cin
THANK YOU for the communication, Mr. Ellis.
Definitely Prayers in order and all our strength offered to the friends, family and relatives involved. Bad things truly do happen to GOOD people....it is the reactions of support that deflect the pain and uncertainty. Give a THOUGHT that love, patience and time will heal, and strengthen the Faith.
Can you smart Diesel fellas help yourselves or each other with any how- to's or questions to keep Quad's products at the first name status, please?!
If any one had held back before, step up- keep this FRESH !! orders ready!!
here's some free coffee for your help guys!

Ok, I am copying and pasting this message below so I do not have to type it over and over!
It is easy to feel like if you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all. Fortunately I DO NOT feel that way. I have too many things I am greatful for and feel like I have been blessed. When things start looking down just keep looking up. I promise it works.
Thanks for the Support,
Quad
OK, made it back and brought 1 home with me! Of course I am very happy about this. He appears to be ok other than the fact that he was tossed around like a ping pong ball inside a truck. he is stiff and sore but, everything looked okay on xray and cat scan.
One of my buddies passed away. I still do not know the entire story but, from what I gathered he was deceased by the time my other buddy who was in front of them got back to the wreck. He said he never got a response from him at all but, the truck was mangled so badly he could not see anyone.
The other 2 which were riding in the back seat were husband and wife.
Husband has 1 broken vertebrae in his neck and 1 in his back but, they are thinking with the proper braces he will not need surgery. He has movement at all 4 corners as well. He also has several ribs broken in his back, a broken sternum, bruised lungs and some dental damage.
Wife has a several lacerating on her face/lip area. The plastic surgeon did his first work late last night but, it will likely need more work. Lots of dental damge. The more serious portion is that she has 3 broken vertebrae in a row in her back. They have to wait until all the swelling goes down to make decisions on surgery but, she will likely need it in a couple of days.
The husband may or may not need surgery but, they also have to wait for the swelling to go down.
The other wife that is pregnant is fine and had stress issues and a pulled stomach muscle. She is 100% ok.
Ok, for the rest of the story I will tell you what I know. It may or may not be helpful to someone later on.
Apperantly they were just cruising down 380 just west of Jayton which is near Aspermont. The were skiing in riodosa (sp?) and they were on the way home. The guy in the back says he though the left front tire blew and for some reason they jerked straight left and sideways. The went several hundred yards flipping. When the vehicle stopped the two in the back were pinned under the back seat as it had collapsed over them. They were laying in the back of a 4dr Ford and it may have saved their lives? Maybe not? They could not even see daylight other than a fist sized hole where my other friends where talking to them and shoving them rags and shirts to help stop the bleeding.
My buddy helping is an off duty police officer so that helped.
Now 1 of them crawled out with some help but, this story is interesting at least for me. There were 2 people there to help initially as they were in the middle of nowhere. My buddy Jay and his wife. They say that they used a pry bar to push the seat back (vehicle on the roof) and pull him out. He got stuck but, got loose. He was laying on his stomach which would have been on the headliner. Now the buddy that got pulled out says 3 men pulled him out. He says without a doubt there were 3 men that got him out of that truck. The EMS does not understand how he got out as he came through the window. He is 6'2" 220lb or so and the cab is smashed flat. EMS says it is not possible for him to come through the window.
Interesting and I do not think it needs to be explained to you guys.
When I typed this original post I was on hold with careflight out in West TX to make sure we had enough choppers in the air.
Now, I did not see the scene of the wreck but, our good friends that went and picked the vehicle up (they own a large wrecker service in FT Worth) went and looked at the sight and says it was for sure a left front blow out. The thing they said was that there were skidmarks for several hundred feet. This leaves us to believe that the friends driving slammed the brakes on which is a NO-NO. Once the vehicle left the asphalt the ditch made it catch a little air at a slight angle and then it started flipping. They say you can see what happened pretty clearly.
I will see the truck tomorrow...maybe. Everyone has said it is an out and out miracle anyone in that truck survived. They say it is one of the most mangled trucks they have ever seen.
Also just for the record none of them were buckled in. Maybe good for some and bad for others? I wear my seatbelt religiously myself! hard to second guess at this point.
