Mapquest

Mapquest really needs to start their instructions at about number 5 as I think i know how to get out of my neighborhood.

You might but I know some people definitely need step by step instructions to do anything. Map quest would probably get sued for someone getting lost or some ridiculous thing.

And what if I'm staying in a hotel in another state/city/country and need those first 5 turns?

Open up your viewpoint...

obama voters probably need Mapquest to find their toothbrush in the morning......IF they brush their teeth at all

I agree the first 5 steps suck when I am mapping from home but on the road it is a different matter

The first step is always the one that kills me.... Head northwest on X St... Or Start heading towards Y St on X St... How am I supposed to know which direction Y street is, or which way NW is when I'm in my car without a compass....

Kids are getting so used to those step by step instructions from their phones that some of them cannot use a regular old paper map.

The first time I used Yahoo maps, I punched in my address, which it got right, then told it to take me to Meadville, and it told me to take my road to I-79 and get on 79 south. Last I checked there still are no ramps there.
I usually use yahoo maps. They seem to be pretty accurate. Unless you want to go somewhere leaving Stockville. Then they take you north, east, south, east, south, and west to go back into Stockville to leave heading west.
I once got chewed out for not having GPS in the truck. I told the boss at the time, if he gets me one that will at least take me to the right ZIP code on the road I lived on, I'd buy it. Tried a couple different times, and it took me to the first place in the next ZIP code instead of home, which was about 4-5 miles too far north.
