Man dies trying to save his truck...

Really tough story here, perhaps he overreacted a little, as his family needed him more than his truck did. Have to respect his courage...

Sorry to not sound PC, but a couple well placed shots would have saved his life.

What about the one on that page where the Texas guy cooked his girlfriend and was eating her!!:o:o

Wow, that is a shame. You do have to respect his courage for at least trying. Poor guy.

That took some balls. But I bet quite a few of us would of done the same thing. I have learned over the years, myself. Go ahead, take it, thats one of the reasons I have full coverage insurance. But watch your back, I just may be seeing you soon, kinda thing.

Maybe its the rebel flag vanity tag.
Maybe its the S.E. Oklahoma truck tag.
I have never had any problems in east texas.
Granted, I dont go very may places unarmed, but I have worked in the Lufkin area, I have spent several weeks in Houston (I 290/beltway and Hobbie airport areas)

This is my personal stance as well - it's covered, and frankly if it's actually ever stolen I hope it's also totaled as I wouldn't want to deal with a stolen and recovered truck.

As to the "other story" - yes I noticed it, I didn't even read it...i have a fairly stable stomach, but I couldn't even bring myself to open that article. Oh my word...what a sick, unspeakable act to even think about...:o[yuk][verymad]:(

My first reaction and instinct would be to try and stop them also. Once he jumped into the back there was no return. However the ol' 7mm Rem mag would have done a great job even via the tailgate, cab, backseat and then the front seat. Stealing a mans truck should be as equal to stealing a mans horse in the 1800's. Hang'em till death
