Made my first purchase on Ebay!!!

Well guys I got brave today and bought a 36' gooseneck car trailer off of Ebay. It's got new rubber, 8k axles, new brakes and bearings and I gave $3,000 for it : It looks like a darn nice trailer, I hope. Bad part is I gotta go to Clinton, South Carolina to get er :'( Anybody from down there headed up here empty anytime soon ???If not I'll go get er next weekend

Luke, take it easy with that trailer when it's loaded. Those things are really top heavy around corners. I hauled for some local Ford lots about 2 years ago and pulled on of those things and when you get 3 trucks on one it's quite a load up that high in the air.

Hauled 2 crewcab duallys one day, had a nice older man come up to me at the fuel stop and he said "takes 2 big Fords to even slow that Dodge down doesn't son". I got a real kick out of it I laughed and smiled for hours after that. ;D

DB

It's got a set of 6' ramps with it. I am gonna put better jacks on er. And I am also gonna weld some ratchet style tie down winches to the frame cross members on about every third one.
